SMP’s Review of Pizzulu
I recently visited Pizzulu, and it was quite an experience for a pizza and pasta lover like me. From the moment I stepped in, the aroma of fresh ingredients filled the air, setting the stage for a delightful meal.
I started with the Truffle Pizza Bianca. The béchamel sauce was rich and creamy, and the combination of fresh mozzarella, goat cheese, and cheddar cheese was heavenly. The truffle oil added a luxurious touch.
Next, I tried the Prosciutto & Arugula Pizza, which had a perfect balance of savory prosciutto and fresh arugula. It was a refreshing change from the usual pizza toppings.
The Spinach & Artichoke Pizza was another winner. The spinach cream base paired beautifully with the mozzarella and goat cheese, and the artichokes added a nice, subtle tang.
For pasta, the Black Truffle Casarecce Pasta with Prosciutto was a standout. The truffle cream sauce was flavorful, and the prosciutto added a lovely depth.
The Squid Ink Spaghetti with Seafood Pasta was also impressive, with a rich, briny flavor from the squid ink and a good mix of shrimp, mussels, and clams.
However, the Fettucine Carbonara Pasta fell a bit short. While the béchamel cream sauce was creamy, the bacon lacked the crispiness I was hoping for.
I paired my meal with a can of Sanpellegrino Aranciata and some Coke Zero, which were refreshing and complemented the food well.
Pizzulu offers a fantastic array of pizzas and pasta dishes, though there’s a little room for improvement with some of the pasta dishes.
