SMP’s Review of Tsokolateria
Tsokolateria is a delightful spot for anyone who loves Filipino flavors with a twist. When I visited, I was excited to try their unique dishes and enjoy a good meal with some refreshing beverages.
I started with the Longanisa Fundido. The combination of caramelized onions, tsoko maple, and cacao melba was delicious and set the tone for the meal.
The Sizzling Molten Quezo was also a hit, with a mix of quezong puti, camembert, and quezo de bola baked in olive oil—so flavorful!
For the main course, I decided on the Adobo Overload. The chicken adobo topped with roasted cacao garlic and crispy adobo flakes was a fantastic choice. The flavor was rich, and the cacao added a unique twist that I really enjoyed. I paired it with the Black Risotto with Tablea Powder. The risotto was creamy and had a hint of bitterness from the tsoko, which balanced out the richness of the dishes.
To complement the meal, I chose the Tsokolate Ah a la mode. This hot chocolate poured over vanilla ice cream was the perfect blend of warm and cold, sweet, rich, and absolutely delightful.
However, the Malunggay Pesto Pasta was a bit of a letdown. The sauce was too mild, and it didn’t have the flavor punch I was expecting.
Tsokolateria impressed me with its creative menu and unique take on traditional dishes. I’ll definitely be back to try more!
